Visut House

I stayed at the visut house for four nights and found it comfortable, with plenty of space in the dormitory lockers. The fan, AC, and wi-fi all worked perfectly. It’s in the center, with transportation easily available. The old fashioned wooden furniture and style of the house made it really pleasant. Everything was clean, and the staff kept making an effort to maintain it. I was also glad to have somewhere safe to park my bike. Oolong tea and coffee were available, along with basic but good real strawberry jam all day. Sometimes the staff brought me a bowl of rice and veg, which I really appreciated. They also had no problem making copies for my visa extension. A comfortable, nice place to stay in central Bangkok.

It’s a quiet place to rest, not a party hostel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They even treated us to a local snack. The room and toilet were very clean, the bed was comfy, and the air-cond kept things cool. There’s a huge locker for your backpack. Breakfast is toast, butter, and jam, available all day, with unlimited tea and coffee. The drinks include oolong tea, Earl Grey, black tea, milk tea, and coffee. The location is great for walking to Khao San Road and Grant Palace, and it’s near the less touristy Bobae Market too. One small tip, Grab car drivers may not know the place, so keep your GPS handy if they start getting lost.

Breakfast was delicious, and the owners are kind and helpful. The rooms are clean, everything is brand new, and it’s well placed for some must-see spots in the old town area.

The owner knows a lot about places to visit in Bangkok and the South Islands. This place is new, cheap, safe, and really nice and quiet for spending time in Thailand. Definitely recommended.
