Viva Residence

The building feels old, and my long stay here was a terrible experience, even though I chose it because it was close to the hospital. The AC was dirty and barely cooled the room. I told the front desk many times and was ignored until it started leaking badly. They sent a security guard to clean it, but he wasn’t qualified and broke a cooling pipe. After that, the AC started dropping ice. When we asked to change rooms, the female front desk manager accused us of breaking it and demanded ONE MONTH RENTAl FEE for a unit that couldn’t be rented out, even though a new AC wouldn’t cost that much. She told me to leave while I still had booking time left. She was the skinny woman with a black ponytail, and was very rude while asking me for money. The hotel is next to a garbage collection area and a 24-hour gas station, so there’s a bad smell and noise. The people were rude too.

It’s not very noisy, and there are grocery stores close by, which was handy. The hotel did what I needed at that price, especially since it’s near tropical safari and marina world, so you can leave early to visit them. The receptionist, "Hathya", was extremely sweet and helpful.

The room price was just right, and 7 eleven and other restaurants are directly across from the hotel. The rooms are spacious, though cleanliness could use a lot of improvement. It could be a good place to stay if you’re going to safari World and dream world.

The damp smell hit me right away, and the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, with plenty of signs of use. The sheets were clearly unchanged, wrinkled and filthy, and even the pillows had mold on them. I’m used to old places and noisy air conditioners as a backpacker, but this was shocking. In at least 300 hostels, I’ve never had an experience like it. I left without even taking a nap.
