W District Hostel

The smoking made the visit miserable for me. People lit up at their tables with little regard for those nearby, and the prices were already high. Staff attitude added to it, from security to servers, who came across as arrogant and unhelpful. Getting in wasn't pleasant either. Vendors pushed drinks as soon as we arrived, then gave rude looks and attitude if we said no. They wouldn't take card or QR payments unless an order was over 300 THB. The threshold itself wasn't my issue, it was how confrontationally they enforced it. Parking was another headache: street parking brought staff or locals demanding extra money or saying we couldn't park there. Basement parking exists, but even finding a straightforward spot meant a long walk. I'd strongly advise people to avoid this place.

Get a table and enough chairs for your group before 7pm if you can. After that, finding a spot can be tough, trust me 😂 The place gets busy but still feels laid-back. I like coming here for dinner, with so many stalls serving different cuisines, from Chinese, Mexican, Indian and Italian to Thai. The open bar has a good selection too, from beer to cocktails 🎉. Somehow it feels like being on vacation, like I'm not in Bangkok anymore lol.

The rooftop bar has a great city view, and the whole square has a real European beer-fest feel, with its lights and statues. There's a huge range of food trucks, from tacos and Thai food to grilled cheese and sushi. Food truck heaven, really. Great vibe, and I especially recommend the grilled cheese truck.

It's a lovely open-air spot for meeting up with friends, having drinks and trying different kinds of food you might not find in a restaurant. There's room for groups, a nice breeze, and a casual, welcoming feel. If you need air conditioning, though, this probably isn't for you. I've been to W district a couple of times and really liked it. You find a table, then a waiter comes by to take drink orders, whether you want beer, wine or cocktails. For food, order directly at whichever stall you like. They give you a number, and when it's ready the food is either brought to your table or you pick it up at the stall. Watch the full video on @followfauzia and m YT!
