The room seemed okay, and the towels were washed and clean. The AC worked well, and being down a small alley kept us away from main road noise. There was even a bathtub. But the room felt dark and gloomy, and the bed was hard. The balcony railing was low and seemed like it could invite someone to commit suicide. The staff didn't speak English, and two of them were rude, with no idea how to welcome tourists or other guests. There was no WiFi. A heavy lady who looked ugly was bad and arrogant. She made the manager take back the rate we'd been offered, 510 per night for a three-day stay. They promised that rate, then changed it when we came to claim our booking. Disgusting service.

We only needed the place for a few hours and checked out at 6 am, so it was okay for a short overnight stop, but I wouldn't choose it for a longer stay. The best thing was being around a 20-minute walk from the nearby MRT station, Phra Rha station, if I'm not mistaken. My partner and I stayed one night. None of the staff could speak English, which made communication kind of difficult. The AC was very old, and so was the building.

It's a clean and tidy place with average room prices, and the rooms are a bit stuffy, though that seems in line with what you pay. There isn't room cleaning service for longer stays. Siam technology College is within walking distance, and there are lots of restaurants and shops close by. It's near the city, and the 24-hour karaoke doesn't affect guests.

The mattress was much too hard, and the bathrooms could use an update. On the plus side, the staff were great and the food was really good, especially the famous catfish. Order pra duke foo, you won't regret it. Soi 4 is close enough to walk to for good street food, and Wat Thapra temple is nearby too. It's in a more local part of Bangkok.
