We Living Space

There are places near Ramkhamhaeng University that may suit people taking exams, but after staying here for two days I wouldn’t return. I spent 1,422 baht by credit card for the booking, over 700 baht a night, and still regret paying it. I felt unsafe, and the room problems and smell made the price feel unfair. A staff member first drove us to We Living Space, room 1/3. As soon as we entered, there was a strong smell of urine and cigarette smoke that made me nauseous. The bathroom door was stiff, the latch didn’t catch so only the knob could be locked, there was no water heater, and the blanket was torn. The microwave outside was extremely dirty. Despite a no-smoking sign, I believed previous guests had smoked in the bathroom, and the smell was lingering through its ventilation system on all floors. I called Agoda to ask for a refund for the one remaining night because I couldn’t tolerate staying there. Agoda said it had no refund policy, then contacted the accommodation to ask if the whole booking could be canceled and the 1,422 baht returned. I was willing to pay cash for the night I had stayed, but the owner’s consent was needed and the accommodation refused. I then contacted them myself. They explained that Baan Khun Chang and We Living Space had the same owner, and that photos shown included the We Living Space section. Baan Khun Chang has a water heater, they said, but the room I had was without one. They offered to move me to another available room. It was already 10:40 p.m., so I said I could move the next day, but staff helped transfer my things to room 303 on the third floor. The bathroom there still had a cigarette smell circulating through the same air vent as the first floor. I slept in 303, but nobody from the accommodation apologized. The staff member I dealt with was emotional and spoke unpleasantly. I was afraid I might be harmed, and even after changing rooms I didn’t feel safe. I’d traveled a long way hoping for somewhere decent, reasonably priced, and safe, but got the opposite. I woke up very early and couldn’t get back to sleep. The room move didn’t ease my concerns, and that first impression couldn’t be undone. You may or may not have the same experience, so use your judgment when choosing among the many places in the area. Personally, I’ll never stay here or at any affiliated hotel again.

Awful service and rude staff. I’d booked a room, but they hadn’t prepared it. The air conditioning didn’t work, and they gave me a fan instead. My worst experience ever.
