Yor Yak Hostel

The staff were so kind and helped us with our travel plans, and the clean, modern place has a fun yeti theme and good privacy. York Yak is right by a BTS stop, so it’s easy to get around. When the BTS won’t take you where you need to go, an Uber takes about 10 minutes to arrive, and no more than 20 minutes to reach anywhere in the city. We booked a hotel for our first night in Bangkok that cost 5x as much per night, but Yor Yak was a much better stay overall. Honestly, I couldn’t find any negatives and would definitely recommend it.

The staff helped me figure out routes around the city, and I’d stay here again when I’m in Bangkok. Breakfast is filling and costs 60Bahts. You can also help yourself to bread, tea, coffee, biscuits, snacks, candies, and drinking water throughout the day. The place was flawlessly clean and hygienic, and the staff were very supportive.

The local food, cheap eats, convenience stores, and a nice cafe are close by, and Talad Plu, local thai market, is a short distance away. The BTS escalator is right in front of the building, an exceptional location for getting around. The elevator in the 4-storeys building is a real help with big bags, and key card access to each dorm made me feel safe. I felt at home here, especially in the spacious living room and cabin. My bed was comfy, the mattress hygienic, and the toilet clean. They upgraded my single cabin to a double room cabin for myself, which was amazing. Everything was brand new, as they had just opened in April 2017. I was lucky to get a Yeti pillow doll as a soft opening souvenir. The strong, free wifi made Facebook live broadcasts and Skype run smoothly. The staff were awesome, helpful, and pleasant. Breakfast was fabulous: Thai rice soup with pork ball in a Pin-to, a Thai-style picnic box, and it was so tasty. Toast is available too. Snacks, coffee, tea, and drinking water are free 24 hours, along with shower cream and shampoo. They also store luggage for free before check-in and after check-out. I found it exceptional value for the money. This is the only hostel you can not miss to stay in Thailand, no one can beat them. Thank you all for everything you have done.

This was the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The design was really nice, the beds were comfy with proper duvets, and breakfast was delicious. It’s right next to the BTS station, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay again. Thank you!
