At night, the entrance is tricky to spot, and some people drive past it. Coming down the bridge, stay on the left. Once you’re down, watch for cars coming south from the bridge since the alley is near the exit. Look out for traffic on your left and turn quickly into the alley. There isn’t enough parking when the rooms are full. I booked a fourth-floor room, but at check-in staff said it was full and reserved for Chinese people, which was disappointing. The dry area of the bathroom floor was flooded and hadn’t been cleaned properly. The room has a sink counter, dining table and chairs, and a sofa for watching TV. There’s a separate bedroom and living room with a sofa. The bedroom closet makes it feel dark and stuffy.

The accommodation was clean and the staff were helpful. Still, the room wasn’t soundproof, the bathroom had no window or ventilation fan, and the bed was hard.

I paid 5,000 baht for a room where every sound came through the walls. I could hear someone snoring and talking next door, and barely slept. Such a disappointment.

The room was clean, and the building management staff were lovely. But there was no soundproofing, so I could hear the people next door having sex.
