Phukananan Resort Nan

The huts at Phukananan made for a wonderful glamping stay, with a great balance of nature and comfort. Everything was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged, and the facilities were among the best we came across on our trip. A unique, relaxing place. Highly recommend! 🥳

At this price, these conditions are deeply disappointing. The bathroom had moldy shower heads, dirt and stains inside the toilet bowl, a broken, poorly maintained basin, and grime and mold in the corners and seals. This goes well beyond cosmetic wear and amounts to a sanitation failure. There were also someone else's eyelashes left on the bedside table, which was disgusting and unacceptable at any accommodation, especially at this price point. Broken glass was left in use areas of the café instead of being removed, creating unsafe conditions. The staff were polite and friendly, but that doesn't make up for the dirt, mold, broken fixtures, and poor cleanliness and maintenance. No guest should have to deal with this level of neglect while paying a premium price. The organization also hasn't bothered to reply to my email complaint. That says a lot about its lackadaisical attitude.

The service at Sataa Resort Nan is world class. It's an ultra-luxury hotel on a serene hilltop overlooking rice fields, just 10 minutes from Nan city. An amazing hotel.

We could easily walk to the rest of Bo Kluea from the resort, and it was also convenient for visiting Phu Kha National Park, Khun Nan National Park, and Sapan. The rooms had unbelievable views, and the facilities and location were great. We enjoyed the tasty food, with the same standard American-style breakfast each day and a different spread of Thai dishes for dinner every evening. We're already planning another trip back!
