NP Hotel

There’s plenty of parking. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable enough. It’s 2 km, or about a 30-minute walk, to the city centre area.

The staff were very friendly, and breakfast was a good buffet. The hotel looks really nice from outside and is good class for a very good price. You can drink and smoke outdoors. It’s in a quiet, calming spot away from town noise, close to a hotpot eatery. Of the six hotels I stayed at during three weeks travelling around the country, this was by far the best.

I couldn't stand the dirt and checked out to stay somewhere else. After checkout, I told the staff how dirty the room was, and they didn't say anything. I’d already asked to move because the first room had cockroaches and a lizard. The second room was just as bad, like it hadn't been cleaned at all. There were insects on the bed and under the pillow, plus small cockroaches in the bathroom and on the floor. It was disgusting. 🤮

The breakfast really let me down. At 8:30 a.m., with service running until 10, the eggs and mini hot dogs were cold, the Thai food was so spicy it was uncomfortable for anyone other than a Thai person to eat, and the corn flakes came without milk. There was no juice or bacon, despite the photos on the website. The strawberry jelly looked like red-colored corn syrup, the butter was nothing like butter, and the food tasted as if it had been served for several days. Watermelon was the only fruit. I know this is a cheap hotel and don't expect much, but if breakfast is offered, fewer items done well would be better. Cereal without milk? No juice? Sorry, I was disappointed. The room itself was clean, the Wi-Fi hit 20 Mbps this morning, and the AC worked well. The TV only had Thai channels, there was no in-room safe or kettle, though hot water was available out front. Two bottles of water were included in the fridge.
