The Zell Budget Hotel Buriam

The breakfast was good Thai food, though toast and jam were the only Western options. The staff were very friendly, and there were more outlets than I usually find in Thai hotels. The curtains kept the light out well, and having an elevator is unusual for a budget place in Isaan. We were placed here by our school, so it was hard not to compare it with hotels we've stayed at for work. It could suit someone looking for a budget hotel, but our room smelled musty despite being fairly clean. We wanted one big bed and got two singles, probably because of the school rather than the hotel. When we pushed them together, the floor beneath was filthy, though I guess they weren't expecting me to move the beds. There were ants in the room before we arrived, and a small dead cockroach, about the size of a 10 baht coin, appeared on our last morning. As other reviews mention, there are no fridges in the rooms. The shower head sprayed water in odd directions.
