Green @ Burirum

I planned to stay for one night and ended up staying four. The hotel and garden are so peaceful, and the garden-view room is a lovely experience. From bed, you can watch butterflies and squirrels in the trees. It’s a comfortable place to get some rest.

The owner’s personal care for guests says a lot about the passion behind this hotel. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, and most could speak and understand English. The whole place looks modern and well kept. The garden feels like a big park, with mature trees, fishponds, and places to relax. It’s lovingly maintained and beautifully lit at night. The small café doubles as breakfast room and reception. The coffee was great, and the food was good and inexpensive. Everything was squeaky clean. Our room wasn’t large, but it was modern and perfectly adequate. I liked the laminate wood flooring around the beds instead of the cold, dull tiles you see throughout Thailand. The beds are thick, comfortable mattresses on wooden platforms in window alcoves. We loved the floor-to-ceiling glass and the wide view from bed. The children especially liked the setup, though it may not be ideal for older people. There weren’t any family rooms at the time. The owner said she planned to offer them soon. One funny thing: because of the hotel’s name, you wouldn’t expect a RED sign for the entry street. We nearly missed it while looking for a GREEN sign. It’s hard to describe the place, so just go and enjoy your stay. We had a great time and would gladly come back.

We went there for dinner on Thai’s Father’s Day and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and there was plenty of parking. Highly recommend!

The Japanese-style futon beds were so comfortable, and the small, cosy room was very clean. I stayed just one night, but this was easily my favourite hotel during a month of traveling in Thailand. It’s in a quiet spot, with only the sounds of nature outside the window overlooking the garden. Breakfast is a set menu rather than a buffet, mostly Thai dishes. I really appreciate authentic food when I travel, and loved the pad ga pow and iced tea I ordered. Highly recommended.
