Devasom Hua Hin Resort

We only had two nights at Devasom Hua Hin, but they were such a good time. We were celebrating my husband's birthday, and there was a little leaf note saying “Happy Birthday” on the bed when we arrived. At breakfast, the owner and GM came by with the restaurant staff to sing to him, bringing the cutest tiny cake. So sweet. The restaurant really impressed us. Breakfast had a great spread, and the lunch and dinner menu was much bigger than expected. For a hotel with only 23 rooms, the kitchen is seriously good, maybe the best hotel food in Cha-am/ Hua-Hin. The place has that old Hua Hin charm without looking run-down or out of date. You can see a bit of age, as you would at most oceanfront properties, but they’ve kept it up well. They also have EV charging stations.

It’s a little apart from Hua Hin, but we’ve stayed at other places nearby and I’d still choose this one. The setting is lovely, the food is exceptional, and the service is outstanding. Probably the nicest resort we’ve stayed at in Thailand.

I like everything about this hotel apart from the bed in Room Beach Front No. 6. There’s a big dent in the mattress, and I woke with back pain after both nights. I told the staff and asked them to fix it. They flipped the mattress, but the dent was still there, and so was the back pain. Please get this sorted urgently.

The owner was lovely and chatted freely with my Thai wife. We also took the hotel bus into hua hin a couple of times, which was great, and I can recommend the singapore sling cocktail 🍸. We stayed the first week of November in a seaside suite with a lovely sea view. It’s a truly exceptional boutique hotel. The staff, room, and food were all excellent. Can definitely recommend.
