Evergreen Cha-am

The bikes were tiny, like kids' bikes, and in such bad shape that I couldn't use them. In the room, the fridge was so loud I had to turn it off for the night, and the blackout curtains let in too much morning light after sunrise. The hotel wasn't very clean, and there were little spiders in the room. Breakfast also didn't match the website: what I received is in the photo, though the site said it would be a buffet. Staff told me there were too few guests to serve a buffet.

It's a clean budget hotel, but breakfast was poor. The espresso machine gave me a cup of hot water with barely any coffee taste. The shower head is above the wash basin, so that's where you have to stand to shower, which really dragged down my rating. I also didn't feel safe with the door and window locks, especially the sliding glass doors that open at either end. If you're staying here, check every lock and make sure they work.

I won't recommend this hotel. It's really dirty, and the housekeeping doesn't seem to know how to clean. The whole room was dusty, with lots of hair on the floor. The bed, towels, and pillows were all dirty too. Most things were very old, and some were broken or had big holes. Such a big no from me!

The location is handy: the beach is a five-minute walk away, and restaurants and convenience stores are less than a minute away. It’s clean and new, with a tasty breakfast. The staff are kind, helpful, and responsive. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cha-am who doesn’t want to spend an exorbitant amount.
