Clean and quiet, and despite the rock-hard mattress we slept okay. Our first room smelled as if it had been bombarded with bleach, but the second was much better. We left early and carried on with our journey. The room had a full-length mirror beside the bed, but no fridge, tea or coffee jug, toilet paper, or workable hot water. The mattress was the hardest I’ve ever encountered. There was a sliding carport door to hide your vehicle from prying eyes, and a nice lampshade where a mirror might have made more sense. Maybe this suits an illicit liaison, but it isn’t a resort. The price was extortionate for what was offered, easily worth only half as much. It’s a place to break up a long drive at best, and there are far better options in either direction. Impossible to recommend.

Asking the staff to open the main gate for me turned into a big issue. They were very rude, speaking in a shrill, condescending way, as if I’d taken something from them. Being harassed and intimidated by staff is the worst thing that can happen to a hotel guest. There are nicer places nearby, like Love Box Resort. This place was a living nightmare. Stay away.

Easy to get to, with a quick check-in and an even easier departure. The clean room has a parking space and gate, which gives a lot of privacy and discretion. The bathroom has a hot-water shower and bath. The room is a little old and could use a style refresh, but for the price it’s a really good deal. I’ll come back.

The air conditioner only blew air, never cooled the room, and kept switching off through the night. The person watching the property couldn’t do anything about it, and couldn’t arrange for a technician either. We had two rooms and were able to switch only one of them. The replacement room wasn’t in great condition, either. They wouldn’t let us check out of the room, and when I contacted the owner, they said we’d already slept there. The business owner should be available to handle service issues, or give the staff better ability to solve them.
