Vann Hua Hin Resort

*Review from April 2024* We had a great five days here, and for the price it was very good value, especially after coming from a five-star beach resort. The newer building may be more up to date, though it doesn’t have the private pool rooms. Our room was in the older area, where things were a little rough around the edges: some tiles were missing beside the main pool, the patio wood by our private pool was loose, and the sofa in the living room needed paint or new covers because it had lots of stains. The bedroom and bathroom were lovely and modern, and the cleaners did a great job. We often had the main pool to ourselves when we opened the patio gate. The resort was quiet and laid back. There isn’t much within walking distance, but taxis through Grab or Bolt are very cheap, and staff can take you to the 7/11 in a tuk tuk during the day. Foodpanda delivers well too if you want to stay in. The air conditioning worked brilliantly, both rooms had huge TVs with Netflix and similar options, and the internet was good enough to stream football without trouble. Breakfast was amazing: we chose what we wanted and had it delivered to the room each day, with service until 10:30am. A fantastic stay for the price.

We enjoyed our four days here. The food was great, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we got a goodnight drink each evening. There were lots of ants in our room, but the staff took good care of it. The hotel is in a rather dodgy area, so going around at night felt a bit scary. There was also a lot of trash in front of the hotel, and I wish they’d cleaned it up since it’s part of the hotel. Despite that, we really liked our stay and will definitely come back.

The staff were exceptional and went out of their way for us the whole time. My wife and I spent a few days here for our honeymoon, and the Vann Plus Suite was amazing. It had a rain shower, a huge bathtub, and sliding glass doors straight out to the pool. The resort’s design is lovely, and even with seven other rooms in our area, each room has its own little corner, so it feels like you have a private pool and lounge space. Breakfast came to the room every day and was included. There were about 15 options, plus orange juice and coffee. I think the full room service menu runs from 9AM to 9PM. Prices were decent for a resort, and the food tasted good. If you can afford to stay here, it’s worth every baht.

The rooms are great and have pool access, and the service came with a smile. It’s near Cha-am beach, but you’ll need a car to get to the beach if you want to try local seafood.
