Chalong Princess Pool Villa Resort

Great location, but they kept my deposit and wouldn’t let me cancel when I arrived on the first day and wasn’t happy with the air conditioning or the mould in the room.

The room and bathroom were huge, and everything was spotless. Each morning the cleaning happened while I was at the gym, and the super king bed, though firm, was really comfortable. I slept well, too, since it stayed quiet even right by the Main Street and all the activity. I’d worried about the negative reviews when booking, but the friendly, helpful staff, especially the woman at reception, made my seven nights a five-star stay. I wanted to extend, but they were full. Great value for the price.

The pool was great, and the spot on the Soi is really convenient. But my room smelled of smoke for the whole one-night stay, and I couldn't clear it. There were ashtrays in the rooms, so I suspect that may be the case in most of them. Sadly, I wouldn't stay again.

This is my third time here, and it still feels like my little home on fitness street. The staff are lovely, the rooms get cleaned to a beautiful standard every day, and the WiFi is strong. For what it costs, I can't fault it.
