The charge at checkout for one fork left us with a very bad impression, and summed up a stay that felt disorganized and poorly managed. We were charged 100 baht even though we hadn't used the cutlery, ate breakfast at the hotel, and had our other meals outside. No inventory list was given at check-in, and the cleaning staff entered every two days, so the fork might have been missing from the start. We could have checked, but had no reason to expect a charge. 100 baht for a fork also seems ridiculous. The hotel is large and generally pleasant, with a location right in the sporty part of Phuket among gyms and martial arts clubs. It has a lot going for it for that reason, though it feels neglected, almost abandoned. Boxes are left around, cleanliness is lacking, and management seems weak. Breakfast was included but poor. There are only a few tables, and they often weren't cleaned after other guests left. We didn't mind clearing ours, especially with so little staff, but guests should have been told. We cleaned up each day, while some others didn't, and staff didn't seem concerned. You have to fill in a breakfast order form the day before. Forget, and there's no breakfast the next day. The meal setup felt chaotic: we had to stand in the dining area and call out to get someone's attention. Several machines were broken, including a leaking coffee machine and juice dispenser, with towels underneath as a temporary fix. Plates, glasses, and cutlery often ran out, and we had to shout between rooms to get them replenished. Room cleaning was scheduled every two days, which would have been fine, but twice we had to ask because it seemed to have been missed. Towels and bedding, on the other hand, were changed regularly. The room had basic kitchen things like glasses, plates, bowls, and cutlery. The place has potential, but poor organization and management are getting in the way. We stayed for a week.

The staff are what made my stay at Marina House Hotel memorable. They were consistently professional and welcoming, and made me feel looked after throughout. The reception team made check-in easy, explained things clearly, and shared useful local recommendations. Their genuine hospitality went beyond simply meeting expectations. The facilities and location were good too, but the people were the real highlight. I'd recommend Marina House Hotel to anyone looking for a high standard of service.

Jib and Dao helped me get through check-in successfully, and the whole arrival was very pleasant. The room was very good, and the hotel is convenient for Muay Thai and fitness.

The pool was large and the surroundings were pleasant, but there was trash in the water and it looked quite dirty. I was also frightened one day when a stranger banged frantically and loudly on my door, sounding as if he might break in and kill me. I reported it to the front desk right away. They said they'd review the security camera the next day, but I never heard back, and I didn't feel safe staying there. I was at the hotel from February 7th to 10th.
