59 Indy House

We spent quite a while at Indy House and really enjoyed it. The neighborhood has an MRT station, big malls, a local market, shops, and restaurants. The host was upbeat, helpful, and proactive. And I have to mention Hunter, the lovely dog who enjoys playing with both kids and adults. A great place to stay!

A seven-minute walk gets you to the skytrain station and Indy Market, a local night market with lots of Thai and international food. There’s a mini mart at the entrance to the soi, and Central Pinklao Shopping Mall is about a 15-minute walk away. Royal Grand Palace and other attractions are a few kilometers across the Pinklao bridge on the other side of the river. I liked the location, the accommodation, and the reasonable price. My room was simple, spacious, and cozy, with air conditioning and a warm shower. Amy was friendly and helpful, and brought me an electric kettle for making coffee or tea. Her lovely dog Hunter likes to play and cuddle with guests. I’ll definitely stay at Indy House 59 again on my next Bangkok visit.

We only needed a room for a shower while waiting a few hours for our Lomprayah bus to Koh Tao. The hostess welcomed us warmly and was very kind, even though we booked at short notice.

Clean, comfortable beds and rooms, plus a welcoming host who was genuinely interested in getting to know guests. She was happy to help, and her English was good. The dog is lovely too. You can pay for a room, but you can't pay for that kind of personality. The location is handy, a one- to two-minute walk from a main road, with a night market about seven minutes away. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay. I'd recommend it to anyone after a more authentic local experience.
