Star Private Pool Villa 2 Bedrooms

We loved staying here and have already booked a longer visit for next year. From the moment we arrived, Phansa was great at arranging what we needed, including car or motorbike hire, boat trips, and suggestions for some really good restaurants.

We chose this place for five nights hoping to relax by the pool during a busy few weeks in Thailand, especially since the website promised “peace and tranquility.” Instead, construction noise from the Tiger Park next to the villa went on every day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It was only a couple of feet away. An agent had said earlier negative feedback was about road work that had finished, but that clearly wasn’t the case. When I raised the noise, I was told nobody else had complained. I sent videos showing how bad it was. On the second day I asked for a refund for our last three nights so we could move somewhere quieter, but that was refused. We ended up going out every day because staying there was unbearable. The villa also felt worn and didn’t look like the photos, which seemed to be from years ago. There were just three tiny plastic glasses, so we bought our own. We were told the glasses would be dealt with, but nothing happened. The pool was lovely, and we used it each night after the builders left. I usually try to focus on the good in my reviews, but that was difficult this time. After the owner’s response, I want to clarify that the noise lasted throughout our stay, not half the day, and I was never offered compensation. My requests for glasses were ignored. We did not break any slabs or anything else. My account is truthful and factual.

We mostly stayed in the villa and spent our time by the pool, heading out only to eat at nearby restaurants. It’s a very private, peaceful getaway, with some interesting tourist attractions just a short drive away if you want to visit them.

Taxi drivers kept having trouble locating the house. There’s construction next door, which makes it noisy, and the place doesn’t quite look like the photos.
