Tira Hostel @Chalong Phuket by Oyo Rooms

We rented a Honda Click with 18,000-19,000 km on it. On the first day, oil showed up by the front wheel, but we assumed that was normal and didn’t worry much. They took a 100-euro deposit. Midway through our holiday, the rental company asked us to stop by for 5-10 minutes to talk. When we got there, the woman wasn’t around. A man took us to the garage, where the scooter was being serviced, and we lost an hour instead of ten minutes. When we returned it at the end of the trip, they accused us of causing a leak in the front fork. We were stunned and wondered if they’d given us a faulty scooter, and how it had passed inspection. We spent an unpleasant five minutes arguing with an employee about who was responsible. The owner didn’t come out, and we waited around 15 minutes for her to bring our deposit back. Then the agent said we’d have to wait another 30 minutes, but we had to leave for the airport. The agent offered $100 instead of $100. We said the exchange rate was $105, and they answered, “No, $5 for washing the bike and gas.” It was more hassle and expense than it needed to be. I don’t recommend this rental service.
