The best part is the location: just a couple of minutes from the beach, with Cicada and Tamarind markets 300-400 meters away, eateries and convenience stores close by, and the train station about five minutes on foot. The WiFi was excellent throughout the property, and the staff were friendly, though some didn’t speak much English. Reconstruction was going on, but it didn’t bother me, and I enjoyed my stay despite the drawbacks. The hotel is old and needs considerable renovation. Furniture and facilities feel stuck in the 1980s, especially in the main building where I stayed. The more expensive rooms near the beach have balconies, ocean views, and better equipment. Mine had a fridge, two glasses, no safe, and an electric kettle supplied on request. There was soap, shampoo, and two shower caps, but no toothbrushes or slippers. The bed was comfortable, the AC worked well, and the room was clean. Two free water bottles appeared in the fridge after daily cleaning. The pool was okay and towels were provided, though the old sunbeds had faded in the sun. The second pool wasn’t working. Breakfast was adequate but repetitive. There was tolerable coffee, bread, pancakes with marmalade, eggs, vegetables, and Thai options such as rice or stir-fried noodles. The food tasted good, but the same choices every day didn’t offer much for a European guest.

The spacious, apartment-style rooms made this a comfortable base, especially for a longer stay. They’re a bit dated and the furnishings could use an update, but everything was clean and worked. I liked having a balcony and extra living space. The staff were friendly and helpful, and operations manager June deserves a special mention for going out of her way to make my stay enjoyable. Check-in was easy and requests were handled politely. It’s quiet and relaxed, a good fit for couples, retirees, or anyone wanting a calm base. The location is another strong point, close to the beach and an easy walk from cafes, restaurants, massage shops, and convenience stores. Central Hua Hin and shopping areas are a short ride away, while the hotel stays clear of the busiest nightlife. The pool and shared areas are maintained well enough, though they aren’t luxurious. This isn’t a high-end resort, but it offers comfort, space, and a good location at a reasonable price. Breakfast leans heavily on Thai food, so it doesn’t really cater to a western diet. The coffee, though, was tasty and made to order. I’d happily return for the value, room size, and location.

The beach is right beside the hotel, with walkable shores and nice views that felt less crowded than Hua Hin and Cha-am beaches. It’s in the Ta Giap area, a quieter choice if you mainly want the beach and night markets and don’t mind being far from other well-known busy attractions. The rooms are old-fashioned and not as new as the photos suggest, but livable. I liked that mine was clean and quiet. Breakfast was okay, though the flavors were quite bland. The staff were friendly but not very helpful with room problems, and there wasn’t much they could do about them. I’d rate the stay as average.

Breakfast was a generous feast every morning and came with the room! The rooms were immaculate, and the beds were so soft and comfortable. I’ve spent a month in and around Thailand and only found two places with beds this nice. Really happy with the rooms, 12/10!
