The grounds are peaceful and lovely, with the rice fields making a nice backdrop for photos. It's a shame the rooms let the place down. The paint is peeling, and there’s nowhere near the bathroom sink to set toiletries. There’s also no closet or hangers, which might be manageable for one night, but not for a longer stay, even though there seems to be room for a closet by the bathroom. The bed was much too soft for me, and I woke up with back pain. The pillows were worse: huge, nearly 30 cm high, hard, and filled with poor, springy material. We asked for smaller ones, but those were still too high, so I ended up sleeping without a pillow. The air conditioner faced the bed and blew cold air right at my face all night. Breakfast was very limited. When we asked for fruit for our baby, there wasn’t any, and there was no baby chair either.

The breakfast is what I remember most, especially the porridge, which was my favorite. The room was cleaned every day, and the hospitality was lovely. Mae On Village Resort was convenient and one of the best places I’ve stayed. If I’m back in Roi Et for a holiday, I’d choose Mae On Village Resort again. Thank you, Mae On!

You’ll want your own transport since it’s a few kilometers outside the city. There’s plenty of space to walk around the grounds. The rooms are basic but comfortable enough, and breakfast only has a few options. A cute little resort.

The resort sits among rice fields, and I’d suggest arriving in the evening because during the day it feels like a sauna. The air conditioner couldn’t cool the room. Mine was very small, and 850 baht felt far too expensive for it. The rooms also need attention: the paint is peeling and cracks run along the walls. Breakfast was poor and not very varied. There was rice soup, stir-fried rice, bread and jam, packet coffee, and orange juice with lots of water and ice. The place needs renovation and better treatment of customers. I don’t recommend it.

The bungalows were clean, the place was very nice, and the service was super friendly. The restaurant served really good, authentic Thai/Isan food. The pillows, though, are as oversized as other reviews say, and more or less useless. The towels worked well as a substitute 😎😎.
