The bungalow looked modern and was nicely designed, and the location is good if you have a bike. But I came looking for a quiet stay and couldn't sleep without earplugs: although I'd clearly asked for a quiet room, mine was between two roads, one only a few meters away, with traffic even at night. My requests to move were ignored. Staff were unfriendly and didn't speak English, apart from the owner, and there was no breakfast. I found it confusing that the property is called both Aurora Resort Chiang Dao and The Breath Chiang Dao. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone seeking peace and quiet.

The rooms are nice, comfortable, and quiet, and there's a Korean restaurant about a 100-meter walk across the road. The main part of town is around a 10-minute ride away, near the bus stop. Grab rides can be hard to find at night in Chiang Dao, but once I rented a scooter, getting to the caves, waterfall, quiet cafés, and food was easy.

The bed was decent, and the place is quiet, away from busy roads. But the bungalows have potential that isn't being looked after, and the property feels neglected and run down. Breakfast was dull, with no tea or good coffee.

The room was a real wow, and getting here was convenient and easy. The place is breathtaking and really lives up to its name. The staff were great, and the owner was especially kind and accommodating, even bringing small mangoes to my room. I'm very satisfied, 100%. A photo says more than I can, so I'll post pictures instead. 😊

I really enjoyed my stay here, even though it may be the off season. The weather is great. If you need a scooter, arrange one before you come; if you can't, there is a pickup service and then you can rent a scooter.
