Chiangkhan River Walk Hotel

At 2,800 baht for one night, I thought the price was far too high, and I won’t be back. The room was tiny, had no windows, and smelled damp. Spraying it helped for about an hour, then the smell came back. I’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and never had to clear my own breakfast dishes in a 4-star place. The beds were comfortable and everything was very clean, and the location right on walking street was great. But I didn’t find the staff helpful. When I asked where I could get a burger, the answer was “7/11.” There were no smiles, and one girl looked at me like I was dirt.

The hotel is well managed, sits right by the river, and has a distinctive design. The service team was super friendly and helpful. The only drawback for me was the soundproofing. I understand how the house is built, but I didn’t expect the noise to come through so clearly. Aside from that, I had a good stay.

The view was fantastic, and the service was excellent.

We did hear some noise, possibly from the water pump and water dripping from the AC, but the bed was comfortable enough that it didn’t bother us much. The accommodation still feels brand new and was very clean. The mattress, lighting, toilet, and other hardware were all high standard. The promotional rates are attractive and worth it if they suit your budget. For a modern room in Chiang khan right by the walking street and river khong, we highly recommend this place.
