Our room was very small and the hotel is expensive, but the location worked well and everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, though basic. Parking is at the temple for a small fee. Riverfront hotels all seem to have parking trouble, so being close to the temple was actually handy. We used the free bicycles to ride to dinner. This was the only river view room available for Awk Phansa, so we couldn’t stay at the hotel we’d preferred.

The room itself was decent, but the way management dealt with an issue ruined my stay. They added an outrageous charge for what should have been a minor matter, and insisted on an excessive fee without any real discussion. It felt like they cared more about getting extra money from guests than giving good service. Be very careful if you stay, since even a small issue might end up costing a fortune. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

It was our first visit, and we’d like to come back every year. Everything was perfect for my family: the room was clean, the service from the owner and staff was very good, and most of all, they were helpful.

We had two river front rooms with balconies for our two nights. They were nice, if a little small, which seems usual in central Chiang Khan. The owner/manager and staff were lovely, friendly, and helpful, always quick with a smile. It’s central and easy to get around on foot or by bike. The hotel has bicycles, and riding along the River promenade was nice. Breakfast was good at a restaurant across the street. Parking is in the Wat diagonally opposite. A great hotel.

We’ve just checked in to The Chic hotel in Loei. Reception was spotless as soon as we walked in, and the check-in girls were really friendly. We have the VIP Room with a river view balcony, and the view from it is AMAZING. The room is very clean and well kept. Definitely recommend this hotel.
