Chiangkhong Green Inn Residence

The Mekong River views are fabulous, and the rooms have plenty of space and are very comfortable, even if they're not fancy. Staff were great, and temples, restaurants, and other places are within walking distance.

We arrived in the evening and got a very warm welcome at reception. The room was really nice, with a great shower and hot water. There's free water, coffee, and tea, and having a Seven eleven next door was great.

The rooms are basic, but the price is what you'd expect. The location is ideal for me: just a two-minute walk to the meekong river and its great restaurants. It's right on the main road, with all the restaurants and bars within a ten-minute walk. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

It's a decent place, nothing especially fancy. The rooms were clean, the location convenient, and free Wi-Fi, coffee, and water refills were available. We paid 250 baht for three people for one night, and stayed on the fourth floor, which meant lots of stairs. Our room had a lovely window overlooking the river, but the other room they showed us was extremely cramped, with no window or open space. Wi-Fi reached throughout the building, which was a plus, though it was patchy and half the time showed "connected without internet." We had a shared bathroom that was clean and perfectly fine. There was also a nice-looking common area in the middle of the floor, but we never saw anyone use it. In fact, we didn't see any other guests during our stay. Free coffee was available around the clock from a bench on the second floor, and we could refill our drink bottles at no cost.
