The place is clean, the staff are friendly, and there’s a lively atmosphere. It gets a bit expensive before 10pm, especially since the relaxation room is dark and lit mostly by people’s phones. USB reading lights would make it much more comfortable to sit and read. There’s no seal on the sauna door either, so it doesn’t get very hot. Definitely 5* if they can sort those things.

I had a good time at the onsen and spent the full two hours there. Local people go too, and I got to chat with a few of them. The onsen itself is great; the sauna wasn’t working well, but the other facilities were fine. In March 2026 the price was 300 baht from 10:00pm-12:00am, or 450 baht before 10:00. Check the timetable for the different genders.

The outdoor onsen was beautiful, with a steam room, sauna, and cold, warm, and hot baths. Easily one of the best in town. My capsule bed was spacious and very comfortable, with thick, soft pillows and bottled water each day. The lockable setup and blackout curtains felt private and secure, and they even provide a yukata like at a Japanese ryokan. I worried the room might be hot, but the air-con was fine, and a quick cool-down after the onsen helped. A couple of small issues: the pool steps weren’t clear, and the WiFi wasn’t stable enough for work calls. Still, probably my best hostel and onsen experience in Southeast Asia, and highly recommended. Note that men and women have different visiting times, the hostel is male-only, and residents get free onsen use.

The price of 450 THB was okay, but I found the onsen disappointing. I’ve visited many times and also taken an onsen vacation in Japan, so I expected somewhere clean, working well, and visually calming. The place is small, which is useful to know, though plenty of onsens are small. It has three baths, a wooden sauna, and a steam sauna. The showers only had cold water. There should be enough warm water, since washing before and after is an important part of the experience. Two British guys near me also asked if I had the same issue. There were only three showers, and no wall behind them, so people in the hot baths can see you. The hot steam sauna wasn’t producing heat when I was there. It was only a little warmer than sitting outside. The decor didn’t help me relax either. Feeling that a place is cared for is part of the onsen experience, and the bamboo behind me in the hottest steam bath didn’t create that feeling. Since the place is small, it seems possible to make it a nice little oasis, but it really isn’t one. Kobe minato onsen is an example of a proper onsen garden. The only onsen I’ve found in Thailand that I really liked is the Yunomori onsen brand in Bangkok. The location is pretty remote, but that wasn’t my main concern. I think this place has potential and hope it gets an upgrade: a clean, zen-like feel would be a cheap, welcoming start, along with fixing the showers and steam room. I’ve also seen how the owner responds to negative reviews, and I find it embarrassing. If they want to be taken seriously, they should accept feedback without replying personally. Good luck!

I paid 1300THB for a massage package that included onsen entry because I wanted to use the onsen and sauna. The receptionist told me I could use the sauna after the massage, but not the onsen because of the oil, or so I understood, and I agreed. The massage was mediocre and took place in a cold room, definitely not worth the price. Afterwards I went to the sauna, but a man, perhaps the owner or manager, told me I couldn’t enter at all after a massage and sent me straight home. I’d spent about 30 minutes inside before the massage and expected to use the facilities afterward too. He refused rudely. If I’d known there was no entry after a massage, I wouldn’t have booked one, since the saunas were my main reason for visiting. So I wasted money on an overpriced, average massage and didn’t get the sauna time I came for. I don’t recommend it. From the replies to other negative reviews, it seems like these guys need to get themselves together.
