Arun Khiri Chiang Mai Hotel

The price is excellent for a quality hotel near the city center. It’s one easy block from the famous Sunday night market, across from the museum, which is worth a walk through. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with excellent bedding and comfortable pillows. Breakfast is comprehensive, the pool is excellent, and the customer service was great. The shower also has good pressure and several showerhead options.

Israelis, stay away The tub in the suite was huge, but the water was freezing. We told the hotel around 17:00, and they couldn’t fix it. We were told we’d get half the night off as compensation, which would have been fine, but then they told Agoda they wouldn’t compensate us. They lied to our faces. We stayed another night believing they would make it right, so I’d even call it borderline theft. The front desk person also admitted this was a known problem. There was usually only one staff member on duty, so everything took ages. We asked for more coffee packets, waited half an hour, and ended up going to get them ourselves. The front desk staff barely speak English. The whole hotel seems designed to look good in Instagram pictures, but the stay was pretty terrible. I’d avoid this place like the plague.

The room was just right for three adults and didn’t feel cramped. The bed was very comfortable, and I loved the coffee machine and all-you-can-eat-and-drink minibar, such a nice touch. The decor is beautiful and thoughtfully done, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for getting around the city, and it’s very close to Suki Chang Phueak. Highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We’ve stayed here twice, and it was okay both times. The staff are kind and helpful, but overall I’d call it an average hotel. The room and hotel look like the photos, and the bed is fine. Breakfast is standard hotel fare, sausages, ham, black coffee, and a few basic freshly cooked dishes. The couch wasn’t comfortable, with plastic-like waterproof fabric. When we arrived the water wasn’t hot, so we had to call a technician. Even after the fix, the water pressure was too weak for a relaxing shower. The pool is cute but small and cold. If you just need a decent place to sleep that’s close to things, it’s a good choice.
