B2 Mahidol Boutique & Budget Hotel

I asked several times about checking in early and even offered to pay extra, but they kept saying there was no room, despite many travelers checking out. The replies were rude and the service was awful. In the end I canceled my non-refundable booking. If you want to enjoy your trip, I'd avoid this hotel.

The air conditioner leaked and the fridge kept making noise, while the place itself felt old. Parking is limited, and the security guard didn't seem to do much. Staff didn't care. WiFi is available, but you have to contact their official LINE account to get the login details. That's inconvenient for foreigners who don't normally use LINE, even if it may be fine for Thai guests.

There isn't much nearby, especially early in the morning, if you're hoping for shops or places to eat. Apart from restaurant pla pow and restaurant/coffee house che-gu, which is now closed on Sundays, nothing around seemed good quality. One nearby steakhouse closes at 4pm and, I think, opens at 10, so it isn't much use for dinner. For that kind of stay, I'd rate the place a 2. If all you need is an inexpensive, clean and quiet bed before leaving early, it's a 5. This was my second stay, two nights this time. My first visit was when it opened, maybe 20 years ago. The room was on the small side, though oddly the bathroom had a window on an inside wall. There was a night security guard in the lobby, and they wanted a 500 baht deposit. Prices were around 500 on weekdays and 7-50ish on weekends. I won't stay again.

No politeness, accountability, or commitment from the staff. When I complained, the front desk told me to take it up with my booking website. Really bad service.
