B2 Riverside Colonial Hotel

I'm not planning to come back. Noise from people walking upstairs or along the same floor carried into the room, and the nearby bar could be heard too. The hairdryer was smaller than standard. The hotel parking was much too narrow and small, and the receptionist didn't seem eager to tell us there was another lot nearby. The tuk-tuk driver also braked hard and drove in a way that felt thrilling, so I didn't feel safe.

The water heater didn't work at all. Maybe it was a bad capacitor? The fuse box was fine, but there was no electricity from the ELB. Apart from that, it was an alright, pleasant stay, and I'd stay again.

The colonial-style decor suits the hotel's name, and it's a good budget option. It's also well placed near the famous cake shop and Sanpakoi Market, where you can get authentic Northern Thai food. A couple of suggestions: provide doormats inside the entrance and in the bathroom, and have staff share the Wi-Fi and breakfast information proactively at check-in.

I thought the room would be okay, but walking in, it felt old. The toilet was awful and the mattress was terrible. I feel like I got scammed, and I'm being honest about why I'm leaving this review.
