Baan Lung Poshtel - Hostel

The couple running the place were friendly, helpful and caring. The owner was especially attentive when two young girls were heading out on a trip, checking that they were all set. The place was super clean, and they make excellent coffee with a bit of Shoreditch flair, minus the curly handlebar moustache. A great spot to begin or end your Chiang Mai adventures.

It’s a quiet neighborhood, close to the center, with good food options nearby and a 7/11 just a short walk away. The owners also have a beautiful Siamese cat that often hangs around the coffee shop. This hostel is calm, comfortable and welcoming, and I felt at home. The owner and staff were kind and always ready to help. The shared areas were very clean, and the guest kitchen had everything I needed. In my opinion, it’s not really a social hostel, but it’s great value.

The owners are so warm and caring, and were always happy to help. We really felt at home here. There’s also a cafe with breakfast at a very fair price, which we enjoyed. We stayed in a four-bed female dorm, and the rooms and bathrooms were always very clean. It’s a cozy hostel with a lovely, welcoming atmosphere. We’d definitely come back.

We thought we’d leave Chiang Mai after a couple of days, but ended up staying more than two weeks. The unique, homey feeling of this hostel was a big part of why. Ease was a lovely host, and all the staff were so nice. The place was always clean, and the breakfast was really good, at ฿200 plus coffee. It’s central and close to everything, yet still quiet and peaceful. I can’t begin to describe how wonderful our visit and stay were. Can’t wait to come back ❤️
