Cross Chiang Mai Riverside

We had three nights here during our honeymoon in February 2026, and it was our favourite hotel of the trip. It costs more than some places in Thailand, but if you want to treat yourself, I think it's worth it. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and always went the extra mile. The building and grounds were lovely to spend time in, especially the rooftop pool and Oxygen dining rooms. Breakfast was exceptional. Our clean, large room had good facilities, and we especially liked the balcony overlooking the river. On our last night, we treated ourselves to the dining room's tasting menu. It was a real highlight of the trip. It's a lot to spend on a meal in Chiang Mai, but the food was exceptional and we didn't regret it. We'd love to stay again someday.

The hotel is about a 15-minute drive from the city centre, so having a car would make the stay more convenient. Even so, we loved our five nights here and would consider coming back on our next trip. It was so peaceful and relaxing, with a lovely little garden where we enjoyed spending time. Breakfast at the restaurant was another favourite, and the views made it a lovely way to start the day. I forgot to take room photos, but our room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was huge and sparkling clean, and everything was well maintained. We slept very well throughout our stay.

The front desk team made the whole stay feel warm and reassuring, from the kind greetings each day to their patient help with questions. They treated me less like a guest and more like someone coming home, and their thoughtfulness and attention to detail didn't go unnoticed. I'm very grateful for the professionalism and genuine care they showed from the moment I arrived. Their dedication created such a comfortable, home-like atmosphere. I'll remember their kindness and hope to return in the future.

Breakfast was the standout for me. The Michelin-recognized meal is made to order, with plenty of dishes to choose from. The 4th-floor pool is also worth a visit: it looks great in photos, and the feel changes completely between day and night. Unlike a crowded big resort, this hotel has a private, relaxing feel. The room layout and interior design impressed me, and the comfort was top-notch. Staff were very welcoming and spoke excellent English. It's a bit far from the city centre, but the shuttle bus makes getting around easy. Within walking distance there's a great riverfront seafood restaurant and amazing Northern Thai Curry Noodles. Just be aware that facilities close at 20:00 and there are fewer staff at night. A fantastic stay!
