The service was 10/10: the staff were super friendly and even carried my heavy luggage up to the fourth floor. I liked the room and bedding, and the night was quiet. I booked a twin room with AC, but it only felt a little cool, not cold. Noise came through during the day, and the Wi-Fi was very slow, probably because lots of people were using it. There was also questionable mold in the shower.

The staff were nice, but I really don't think this hostel stay was worth more than 2€ or 75 Baht a night. I suspect the private rooms are much better, though I can't say for sure. The pool I was looking forward to using was completely green, with plastic and other things floating in it. I wouldn't get in, even if I showered afterward. The dorm rooms are poor. I had AC, but most rooms don't, and I heard sleeping in them is awful. The beds aren't fixed in place, so they move and squeak, and there are no bed curtains for privacy. The floor squeaks loudly when people walk. The balcony door didn't shut properly, the floor out there was broken in several places, and there was still a large gap underneath the door. Thin walls let in loud rain and road noise. It was hard to sleep, even with six people or fewer in the room. The toilets and showers need cleaning and renovation. There was no toilet paper, the sinks didn't drain well, and the facilities were generally unclean. Toilets need hooks, soap, and something to dry your hands with. The showers had mold, hair, and rubbish, and they hadn't been cleaned during my four-day stay. There was even poop in the drain. It smelled and wasn't removed while I was there. There was staff around during the day, but no one seemed available overnight. We heard screaming and someone calling for help, and found a woman in the lobby having some kind of stroke with nobody there to assist her. There wasn't even an emergency number. The first number I found on Google, 191, didn't work; 1155 did, but it took ages to get through the voice menu. I would have preferred the old city location. Getting around wasn't too bad by scooter, but the only way to rent one there was through reception for 350 Baht a day. I got one in the old city for 180 Baht a day. The nearest 7-Eleven is an eight-minute walk. The good points were warm showers, clean beds, nice staff, working Wi-Fi, and a locker outside the room. Bring your own lock.

SCAM! We booked a private room but were put in a dorm. After they cancelled our reservation without permission, they tried to charge us three times the price on arrival. Other people were affected too. The common area was disgusting, there was no toilet paper, the shower wouldn't close, and the mattress was unbearable, with us sleeping on the springs. There was no air conditioning, no curtains on the windows, and the pool water was green. The staff were unfriendly and didn't speak English, and many amenities listed on the website were missing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The Airbnb listing described a whole apartment with one room, one bed, and one bathroom. When I arrived, I was given bunk beds in a room shared with multiple people instead. The description was deceptive. Be careful so you don't get misled.
