The location is great, and this is a nice boutique hotel, even if it feels a bit dated. Just be aware that they charge you if you accidentally break a glass in the room. The front desk has no choice, it’s hotel policy.

The shower setup was my main problem, especially for senior guests. The huge tub has no handrail, so getting in and out can be risky. After showering, the towel is over the toilet and far from the tub exit, with nowhere to hang it inside the shower area. Hopefully they can adjust that. I stayed four nights over New Year weekend and appreciated a lot about the hotel. The spacious room had a good bed and mattress, which matters most to me because of chronic back pain and needing a Lidocaine patch on hand if I have trouble after the first night. The in-room equipment felt up to four-star standards, and the gym, pool, and location were convenient, with major attractions in walking distance. Breakfast was convenient, though there wasn’t the huge variety you find at many Bangkok hotels. I liked the soft music, fresh salad, great coffee, and made-to-order eggs, waffles, and pancakes. The staff were hospitable, and the small New Year party had yummy food from the management team. I don’t like buffets because they make me overeat, and my children say I’m picky about food, but I thought the food here was good. Life’s too short to eat garbage. Thanks for all the service.

De Chai Nimman is right in the middle of Nimmanhaemin, close to cafés and good local food, and the location is perfect. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfortable for short or long stays, with something tasty just seconds away on foot. My family and I regret booking two nights at this “FOUR STARS” hotel for 2190 baht a night. I don’t know how it calls itself four-star, and that accreditation seems questionable. Book at your own risk 😱 The reception was unfriendly at check-in, and when we came back later, the receptionist ignored us without even greeting us. There was no bellboy to help with either parking or luggage. My partner had to move the safety cone so I could park myself. The hotel was nearly empty, and our car was the only one in the front porch. I asked for a late checkout around 2 pm, and the receptionist quoted an extra 1000 baht per room for two rooms, for just two more hours. The breakfast was lousy for a “4-Stars” hotel. Room slippers should be single-use, not sanitized and reused. Too many things here don’t match a four-star hotel. You can book and see the quality for yourself. Good luck 🤞
