Grace Boutique House

The room was basic but comfortable, and there’s no breakfast. There is a cool van bar, though, and our room was right by its hangout area, so you can imagine the noise at night. I dozed off after midnight and it didn’t bother me, but light sleepers might find it noisy. The location was good, but hard to find. Even the local had trouble finding it when bringing my rental car.

We arrived in Chiang Mai without a place to stay and searched quite a while for an affordable hotel with air conditioning before finding this little Thai gem. The staff were friendly, the pool was really clean, and the room had the air conditioning we needed. It was handy to book activities there, and the prices were good. I recommend grace boutique hotel. Definitely try the banana pancakes!

The check-in itself went well. The GSA who welcomed us was polite and helpful, but after that the staff weren’t attentive or helpful. The internet signal was weak and kept failing, there was only one plug in the room and the TV was using it, and the lighting was poor. The room also didn’t feel clean, with spider webs on the walls and a dirty toilet. A really bad room.

The rooms were clean and air conditioned, and there was a nice pool. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the cocktails were great.
