I wasn’t a hotel guest, but I came back regularly for breakfast. The food was great, and the calm atmosphere made those mornings feel special. Staff were so attentive: they remembered my usual order, answered little questions about the city and day trips, and always greeted me kindly. I felt welcome even as a non-guest. I’ll miss this place and remember it fondly during my time in Chiang Mai.

I arrived very late at night, but checking in at Gusto House was easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was delicious. I had a really nice stay.

We were a group of eight, and the staff learned all our faces and asked about our schedule so they could even cook breakfast early for us. They did our laundry faster than advertised, too. The location is easy to get around on foot, and the place felt safe and clean. Incredible staff and service.

Nikki, the host, is lovely, and everyone at Gusto is welcoming. They remember you, keep everything clean and tidy, and even leave a selection of snacks and water. There’s also a cute cat, and they do laundry. It’s close to the city and you can get everywhere, though Chiang Mai is easier to get around by Grab. There’s no lift, so let them know ahead if you’re elderly or have trouble with stairs. Thanks, Gusto, we love staying there. Best hotel in Chiang Mai for us.

The staff were very friendly and gave us a printed map with the city’s must-visit places marked. Rooms were clean, fresh towels came daily, and the hotel is centrally located. They can also arrange a taxi to the airport.
