H Flora Hotel

The location was the only good part. For this price, there are definitely better places to stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. I was very disappointed, especially since I’d booked for my family. This doesn’t feel like a 4-star hotel at all, and I wish I’d taken more photos. The staff were okay, but the rooms were terrible. In the first room, a strange glass door in the corner couldn’t be opened and there was a plant pot behind it, with no window in the room. The light switches were faulty in every room we saw. One light above the bed wouldn’t turn off on one side and shone straight into your eyes, and the fridge was broken. We asked to change rooms and were eventually shown four. I didn’t even enter the first one because the cigarette smell was overwhelming as soon as the door opened, despite the hotel being advertised as smoke-free. The other three had no proper bathroom doors, just cheap curtains in some cases, so there was no real privacy. The room we eventually stayed in, shown in my photos, still had several defects. I took pictures in case we were blamed for them later. Breakfast was very basic: Pad Thai, eggs, hotdogs, cereal, and rotten bananas. On the first morning, the cook was rude to my mum when she asked how to use the hot water machine, though she did apologize somewhat the next morning. The swimming pool also looks nothing like the advertised photos.

My first night included Tea Time, and it was great. The hotel is pleasant and conveniently placed beside a local market, near 7-Eleven, and about a 15-minute walk from China Street. I extended for another night through Trip.com, and that package also showed Tea Time as included. But the hotel told me it’s only provided on the first day, regardless of how many nights you stay. The online listing didn’t explain that, so I felt a bit misled. It was a pleasant stay, though I hope they make the condition clearer for future guests.

The front desk service from NorChit and Wi was fantastic. They speak excellent English and were really helpful. A few times I couldn’t find a Grab, they offered to book transport using their phone. I stayed four days and three nights. The room was clean, service was good, and the hotel is right beside the market entrance connected to Chiang Mai night bazar. A good place to stay.

Being right beside Anusarn market made the location especially handy. My room, 206 on the second-floor corner, was quiet and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Nor Chit at the front desk was really kind and even helped fix a button on my shirt.
