The modern design and decor stood out, and the room was cleaned well, much better than an earlier Google review suggested. I got the impression they may recently have changed professional cleaning teams. The pool was a highlight, the water seemed good, and the kids loved it. Running, food, parks, and cafes are all within walking distance, and Lan Na Golf Course is just 3.5 km away. There are some real drawbacks for a longer stay. There's no washer or dryer, and the kitchen pots were old and not enough. There were no small bowls, chopsticks, or ice molds, and the coffee table, stool, and other furniture showed a lot of wear. I was also concerned about privacy. There are indoor cameras in the living room and corridor, and we weren't told before booking or at check-in. Unless that changes, I wouldn't choose it again for privacy reasons. The check-in staff's English was limited, so communication may be difficult. It would help if they sent tenants a check-in note ahead of time with all the information they need.

The location felt very rural, with nothing nearby, and wasn't convenient for us. The housekeeping was the worst I've come across: rubbish from previous residents was still there, and even the housekeeper had left rubbish. The place was dirty everywhere, and the host's attitude was terrible. There was CCTV switched on without any notice. Since it was a private place, knowing that made me feel very insecure. There were also dead bugs in the pool. A filter or a skimmer for removing them seems like a basic thing the host should provide.

We booked H2 pool villa for two days, hoping for a memorable stay, but ended up leaving and booking another Airbnb. Across my four trips to Thailand, this was my worst stay. The first thing we noticed on opening the door was a sewage-like smell. The villa was filthy, far worse than the youth hostels I've stayed in. Dust, stains, and dead bugs were everywhere. The hairy living-room carpet was covered with sunflower seeds and potato chips, and there were food scraps, rubber bands, and chili oil in the kitchen sink. The scrub sponges and kitchen towel had mold. There were even instant noodles on the carpet by the living-room toilet, with ants around them, and hairs in the white toilet sink. I can't see how a housekeeper could miss all of that. The pool may be the villa's main selling point, but it was full of dead bugs floating in it when we arrived. The host said that was to be expected in Thailand. I've visited four times and stayed in several pool villas, and never seen so many dead bugs in one. A chair handle beside the dining table was broken with sharp pins sticking out, and my friend nearly got cut. We also found a CCTV camera mounted high on the living-room ceiling, with no prior notice. Later, when we asked for help cleaning the mess, the housekeeper entered by punching in the door code without ringing the bell. Communication with the hosts and housekeepers was difficult. We saw the housekeeper use one towel for everything, from floor dust to the toilet seat. The villa looked cleaner afterward, but seeing how it was cleaned made us want to leave. When we asked to check out and get a refund, the host disappeared and didn't answer our calls. We had to cut our losses and book elsewhere. If you want to enjoy your Thailand vacation, I'd strongly urge you to avoid H2 Pool Villa. It was a traveler's nightmare, and our time and money would have been better spent elsewhere.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but this stay was bad enough to make me write one. The floors were sticky, the place was very dirty, the pool was full of bugs, and the furniture looked worn out, nothing like the listing photos. The owners were poor at communicating, often leaving us without a reply for hours, and weren't supportive. I chose this place for privacy, but found three cameras inside that hadn't been disclosed and were on the whole time. On checkout day, they arrived at 11 am, an hour before the scheduled time, opened the door, and came in without my permission. Very poor experience, not worth it at all.

It was a relaxed place for six friends to hang out, with a pool and spacious living room and bedrooms. The cleaner was patient, and things were generally clean, though a few spots were dusty. There's a camera in the living room, so keep that in mind. The area is rather remote, and getting a taxi can mean a long wait. We recommend calling one about half an hour ahead, and some drivers don't know where the place is.
