Hop Inn Chiang Mai Superhighway (SHA Extra Plus)

I felt safe here as a solo female traveler, which matters a lot to me, and I’d happily stay again. The location near the Super Highway can be a bit noisy from cars, though I’m a heavy sleeper so it didn’t bother me much. For a budget stay, Hop Inn is one of my go-to choices. The room was clean, the bed and pillows comfy, and the shower pressure was great. I like the simplicity. I bring my own toiletries anyway and prefer having coffee at Chiang Mai’s amazing coffee shops, so I don’t need extras. There’s no hair dryer in the room, but you can ask for one at check-in. Great value!

Everything is super close here. The mall is walkable, there are excellent restaurants within two blocks, and the golf course is nearby. I also got a haircut and a Thai Massage. This Hop Inn was incredible!

It’s a small, clean, cozy hotel by Chiangmai Super highway road, with a reasonable price. Seems like a good fit for workers and grab-and-go travellers. The rooms look small but have good equipment, and both the staff and security guy were friendly and helpful. The one downside is noise from the nearby bar. Luckily it stopped before midnight.

Friendly, helpful staff and a convenient spot right beside the highway were the only positives for me. This is the worst Hop Inn hotel I’ve stayed at. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles make noise all night, and if you’re on a lower floor, trucks going by may even make the bed shake. There’s also a pub next to the hotel playing loud dubstep from evening until around midnight. If you’re a light sleeper, this place definitely isn’t for you. Avoid it at all costs.
