Hotel Des Artists Ping Silhouette

We stayed one night, March 14-15. The architecture and decor are beautiful, and the garden is nice, but the building needs more maintenance. Cleanliness needs work: I saw spider webs in both the room and restaurant, the salad wasn’t clean, and things were left haphazardly in corners. Plates and cushions should be stored properly. The shower and bedside lamp also need fixing or replacing. The bed was comfortable. The pool water should be filtered. The riverside atmosphere is lovely, but there’s nowhere to relax by the Ping river, just broken seats, which is a pity. Staff were friendly, but I don’t think there were enough of them. At breakfast, one person was handling everything. Breakfast was ordinary, with Thai food, sausage and egg, sandwiches, salad, fruit, yogurt, Chinese buns and dumplings without sauce, and only one kind of bread. I liked the coffee. I hope the owner sees these comments and improves the quality and maintenance. This place is charming and beautiful, so please don’t let it get dirty or put A.4 paper all around.

The place is a little run down, but that gave it a homely feel, like a cute apartment. My deluxe room had a bathtub and a lovely little balcony. I loved the pool and the hotel cafe downstairs, and the staff were really friendly. I’d absolutely stay again. 😍😍😍

Room 31 was a letdown: the floors were unfinished, the curtains were ripped and full of holes, and the bathroom was flooded. The online photos gave a completely misleading impression, and I didn't get what I paid for. I believe service quality should match the price, and that was nowhere near the case here. Chiang Mai was wonderful for my first visit, but I can't recommend Ping Silhouette Hotel.

The river view and location are what I liked most. The room felt a bit dark and old, but I could live with that because of where the hotel is. Breakfast was very good and had plenty of variety. There's also a nearby cake shop worth trying for its coconut pie. Parking is tight, with room for about five cars.
