Lovely staff and a great place. The breakfast was the one letdown: every bit of food was completely cold, and even the coffee was only half warm.

The breakfast is poor, and what you get costs too much. The air conditioner is very old, blows warm air, and shuts itself off.

The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, greeting you as soon as you get out of the car. It’s quiet, with river and greenery views, and there were few guests when I was there. There’s a cheap spa, and breakfast is a limited made-to-order choice of American, Asian, or local food. It’s a bit remote, with only a small convenience store 1km away, so it suits a calm getaway from the city. It’s a locally owned hotel with a 90s retro feel. My big room had marble tiles, a non-smart LED TV, and bedside light controls. It was clean but a little worn, with furniture scratches and mold in the tub. The Wi-Fi was terrible and only worked near the door.

The setting is spacious, green, and peaceful by the river, with a spa and a separate dining area. Reception staff on both shifts were helpful and nice. But the maintenance was poor. We were there in cold weather and they couldn't fix the hot shower. The reception staff kindly offered us the spa building for showers, but maintenance said the problem affected the whole building, so we had to put up with it for a night. Our keycard failed twice; the same maintenance guy came and left without telling us whether it had been fixed. We wondered if there was only one person responsible for the whole building. We ended up changing rooms at night. In both rooms the toilet drained very slowly, and two lights didn't work. The peaceful feel was also spoiled by a staff party with live music that went on late. It wasn't really quiet at night. You can call ahead to check these things and avoid the hassle.
