Getting the keys is a bit like an Airbnb: contact the host by WhatsApp or text. The complex has six or seven connected buildings around a large, oasis-style pool, with apartments and rooms in different sizes. Families with younger kids will probably get the most out of the big pool. If available, I’d pick a ground-floor apartment with pool access. There aren’t many sunbeds or loungers, and the buildings shade much of the pool, so you may have to shift around to catch the sun. That may suit Thai guests who prefer less direct sunlight, but I found it could be frustrating if you want to sunbathe. My apartment was adequate for travelling alone, though dated and in need of some TLC. It wasn’t especially comfortable or stylish. The location is handy. A 7-Eleven is right out front, the beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and Yai Mak night market takes around 5-6 minutes on foot. Daisy D’s on Beach Road is nearby for burgers, ribs, beers, and pool, and there are plenty of other bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. For breakfast, Coffee, Be Original is worth the 8-10 minute walk. Turn right, then right again up the side soi. I picked this place for convenience and price, rather than luxury. Bolt and Grab are easy to get, and because many hosts rent apartments in the complex, I’d check reviews for a few of them before booking. Enjoy 👍🏼
