The double VIP room was big and clean, and the staff were nice and friendly. The balcony was nice for smoking and had a good view during the day. But it gets very noisy at night. My AirPods with noise cancellation saved me, haha. The WiFi didn’t really work, and the shower was lukewarm rather than hot. I also got a bit annoyed with the holder because it wouldn’t keep the handle in place, so I couldn’t shower with both hands free.

We had a terrible stay at the hostel. The room stank, the sheets were torn, and there were 5 cockroaches in the bathroom. We slept in the family room and paid too much for what we got. Stay away from this place!

I only managed to stay one night out of the three I booked at Iris Hostel because of a serious bed bug problem in the dorm. I was badly bitten and couldn’t sleep. It happened after midnight when there was no staff around, so I moved to the lobby sofa. It was hot there, there were mosquitoes, and I found even more bed bugs. Exhausted, I bought insect repellent at 4 AM and had no choice but to return to the same bed. It was a really uncomfortable stay. I’m not trying to attack the hostel, but I hope nobody else has to deal with the same thing. On the positive side, the morning receptionist was very kind, apologized sincerely, and helped me get a refund through Agoda. The service was decent overall.

Both the dorm and the private room worked out really well for me, and the price is good for such a handy location. My private room faced the city street and had a balcony, so it was a bit noisy. The shared area is a pleasant place to unwind, though it doesn't feel especially social. The woman at reception was kind, helpful, and spoke English. I'd happily recommend it.

I booked a superior room and barely slept at all. It faces the junction of two major roads, where traffic kept going even at 4 a.m., as my video showed. The sliding glass doors barely shut and did nothing to block the noise. By the time I realized it wasn't going to quiet down, reception had closed at 6, so there was nobody to ask about moving rooms or getting a refund. I lost the whole next day from being so exhausted. A horrible experience.
