KhunLuang Hostel - Adults Only

The service was amazing. They answered all my messages quickly and were really kind. It’s a nice, clean hostel right in the center, and I had a great stay. I would’ve preferred a single room, though.

The hostel is right in Chiang Mai’s Old Town, with temples and lovely cafés an easy walk away. Nimman, the mountains, and other nice areas are only a short Grab ride. Everything, from the dorms and bathrooms to the shared spaces, was clean and stylish. The staff were helpful, the coffee was delicious, and it was a relaxed place to explore the city from. I’ll definitely come back 😊

We moved here after a nearby hostel couldn’t extend our stay, and I’m really glad we did. The room was quiet and clean, and the staff were lovely and always smiling. The place itself is beautiful, and the coffee shop was a nice spot to sit in the morning. The showers made me feel like a noble. Wish we’d found it earlier, highly recommend.

The air conditioning was a big reason I picked this hostel, since other places I’d tried in the city advertised AC but didn’t set it below 25 at night. Here, though, the top bunks got warm while people on the bottom bunks were cold with it set to 22. I left my curtains open on the top bunk. I’ve heard about “AC wars” in hostels, but setting it to 26-27C seems wild to me, that’s warmer than outside. It would be nice to choose a bottom bunk when booking, since some guests might not consider the AC when picking the hostel. The modern, clean room and hostel were nice, and I liked the wide bunks with their little cabinets and mirrors. I prefer communal bathrooms, and the showers had decent pressure. The female dorm was pretty small, though, with very little space to open or store luggage. Maybe the other rooms have more room. There was no locker in the room, and the curved ladder, especially the inward-offset bottom step, made it incredibly hard to climb down. The door latches were noisy in the otherwise quiet room. There’s no night reception, and housekeeping cleaning the bunk room before 10am was quite a wake-up call.
