L'ner Chiang Mai

BED BUGS! I had to get out as soon as I saw one big one climbing across the mattress toward me to bite. I didn't take any pictures. I had to throw away the clothes I was wearing, and thank goodness I hadn't unpacked my luggage. The rooms are cheap because they come with bed bugs as gifts!

It's in a quiet corner of Chiang Mai. The rooms with balconies are basic but great value, and the view is wonderful.

This is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. I checked in at 11:50, and there was no water in the bathroom from then until 19:50. I couldn't use the toilet, pee, or take a bath, so I couldn't rest properly. I asked several times when the water would come back. First I was told around 14:00. When I asked again at 14:20, I was told it should be back around 17:00. But at 17:00, 17:10, and 17:30, there was still no water. The problem wasn't just the water. The staff member didn't take responsibility and didn't apologize properly, just said sorry. I paid full price so I could rest and get ready for my trip, but the hotel spoiled it. Without a bath, I couldn't go anywhere.

My partner and I left because the room smelled so strongly of urine. The hallway light also came through the window, making it impossible to darken the room. The owner told us to contact Agoda about a refund. Agoda won't refund me until the owner responds, but they stopped replying to my texts once I mentioned that. Dishonest hosts and disgusting rooms. Save yourself the trouble and don't stay here.
