We originally booked three nights, then willingly got talked into the one-night jungle trek, which has been the highlight of our trip so far. We ended up staying a whole week. The owners are kind and always ready to answer questions, and we liked the relaxed, trusting feel of having coffees and teas added to the final bill instead of paying each time. It’s a green oasis in the bustling heart of Chiang Mai, with good restaurants nearby and a really quiet atmosphere. The pool is cold, just what you need in the heat. Our room was basic but very spacious and had everything we needed. Can’t recommend this place enough.

Pui gave us helpful ideas for our stay and arranged all our trips. Everything went smoothly and without stress, and we really valued the personal attention. The breakfast was good, the coffee excellent, and it was a lovely way to start the day. Libra Guest House is family-run, with a friendly, warm, relaxed feel. Everyone was kind and helpful, and we felt comfortable from the start. The furnishings are simple, but it’s very good value. The beds are quite firm, though we got used to them quickly and slept well. We felt at home and would return anytime.

The Libra sisters are so sweet and helpful, and their tips were the best. We planned to stay one night at Libra Guest House but ended up staying five because it was so lovely. The rooms are spacious, sparkling clean, and brand new, and the breakfast and coffee were great. Don’t worry if they’re not on Booking.com, just email to reserve. For me, it’s the best place to stay in Thailand.

Planning the trek in person with Dao was a great part of it. We got to choose the details of our adventure together instead of booking online. The next morning, Peli picked us up and welcomed us into his village, which felt like an honor. We watched the magnificent elephants, hiked around looking for fruit, and picked chilis that we cooked later that night. There was much more than I can fit here, and it’s an experience we’ll never forget. I highly recommend them. Libra Guest House and the trek were the most memorable parts of our vacation. Dao and her family were so friendly and helpful. When I had no sandals for the tour, Dao lent me a pair that someone had left behind. They fed us breakfast and gave us suggestions for places to eat and things to see when we arrived and before we left.

It felt like staying with family and friends at Libra Guest House, and the hosts were incredibly helpful, going above and beyond. The two-day, one-night trek with an overnight in a village is worth doing if you get the chance. Time with the gorgeous elephant sisters was unforgettable, and the bamboo rafting was a real treat. Enjoy!
