Laph Kham House

Appln runs a tight ship here. The rooms are spotless, and the garden breakfast area feels like a small shaded oasis. Guests, a mix of long-stay visitors and travelers, chat there. Even though Laph kham House is close to the Old Town walls, it’s peaceful and quiet, a lovely place to return to after exploring. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and laundry options within a five-minute walk, yet you can’t hear the activity from the hotel. The bed may be the most comfortable I’ve slept in anywhere in Thailand, and the shower has very good water pressure. The hostess looks after everyone with humor and kindness, almost like a tiger mother. We saw her help two different guests who’d had bike incidents. The gates may be locked when you arrive, but there’s a bell on the side gate. Security is taken seriously, which added to the feeling of safety. There’s ample parking in front and along the side of the road, and even our monster-sized 4x4 fit without a problem. Breakfast is included, with very good fresh OJ, and she cuts the fruit fresh. Highly recommend.

We came across this place by chance, and it looked so peaceful and nice compared with where we were staying in old town. We spent a week in a very large room with a wonderful bed and great service. The woman who runs the place is really nice. Breakfast is included: toast, eggs, fruit, coffee, tea, and yoghurt with musli. It was very quiet at night, with no noise from other people. The location is a little outside old town, but it’s easy to get there by bike in 15 minutes. For us, the quiet location made it worth staying here.

The hostess was lovely and always around whenever we needed anything, whether it was laundry, room cleaning, extra toilet paper, water, or local tips. She clearly cares about her guests. The location is great, and this was so much nicer and more affordable than staying in an Airbnb. The vibe was top notch, and we felt completely comfortable there.

My parents stay here for two weeks every year when they visit Chiang Mai. They said this was the best place they’ve stayed so far and are already planning to return. The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the price is reasonable. Apple, the owner, is such a sweet host. There’s a dog on the property too, and once he gets to know you, he becomes your best friend.
