Little Home Guesthouse by ZUZU

The family hosts are kind and helpful, and the location is excellent, just outside the old town. Breakfast is basic, with eggs, bread, coffee, and fruit. We didn’t have any trouble with the loud music from the nextdoor bar that some reviews mention. The room needs a lot of maintenance, though. There were too many cobwebs and spiders hanging from the ceiling in both the room and bathroom. The mattress was hard and creaked so much that we woke several times and didn’t sleep well. The sheets were clean but torn, the bathroom door hinge was broken and hard to keep shut, and the water pressure was extremely low.

The location was just right for everything we wanted to do, and breakfast was a nice extra. We stayed one night but would gladly have stayed longer. The hosts were super nice and let us check in early. There was some nighttime noise from a restaurant on a nearby street, though it wasn’t loud. That seems like an expected trade-off with so many good shops and restaurants close by. The bed was a bit firm, as Thai beds often are, and the shower had hot water but low pressure.

It’s a nice little place in a good location, with a clean room and friendly, accommodating staff. Breakfast is fine, nothing special, but it does the job. The bathroom works well, including the shower, toilet, and hot water, though the walls and floor look unfinished, with no tiles or anything. It looks a bit odd, but it wouldn’t put me off staying again since everything else was fine.

Really good value, with clean rooms and the basic amenities. Showers are warm, and there’s a kettle for boiling water. The pillows are quite flat, so I’d suggest stacking them. Great spot in Chiangmai City, and a simple breakfast is served from 7-11am.
