I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. For what I paid, the stay didn't meet acceptable hotel standards. My room wasn't well maintained or clean enough, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, and outside noise made it difficult to rest. Basic amenities were missing, and staff communication was minimal and unhelpful. Overall, a very disappointing experience at Mawin Hotel.

The bedsheet made me itchy, and the hotel was noisy because it's beside the disco. The receptionist and other staff were even worse, they weren't friendly at all. Don't waste your time booking here just because it's cheaper. Owner, don't bother replying with rubbish. I stay in Chiang Mai all the time, and this is the worst!

The rooms are dated and very basic, but generally okay apart from the noise. Avoid the roadside rooms, it's so loud out there all night you can't sleep.

We won't stay here again. The location is good and the rooms have plenty of space, which makes it a shame the stay was so bad. The owner was rude and disrespectful, and sleeping was difficult. In our first room, a couple nearby talked loudly at 3 am. We moved, then drunk people knocked on our door at 1:30 am.

The rooms are a good size, and reception staff are friendly. There is parking, and the hotel is very close to the western-style market Rimping. Housekeeping normally comes every day. The AC switches off when you leave, so the room gets toasty while you're out. I understand why, since electricity is so expensive, otherwise they'd have to raise their rates. The prices are competitive and the hotel has everything you need.
