It’s quiet and non-smoking, and there are good monthly rates if you ask. The room had a large selection of channels, including a few from the West, and the air conditioning was quiet and worked well. The bed was firm but comfortable, and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The young man at reception was always helpful. This is my favorite place to stay in old town, and everything about the room and my stay was excellent.

The room was large and clean, away from the nearest street and busy roads. I was on the first floor, and the curtains kept the morning light out well, which matters to me because I need a dark, quiet room and like to sleep in. It was pretty quiet for my five-night stay. I paid about 640 a night, and with high-season crowds driving up prices around the old city, I’m not sure I’d feel the cost was worthwhile at another time. The room only had a fan and open air, so that seems fine in the cooler season. They also provided an electric kettle, which was a first among the six places I’d stayed on this trip.

The location is good, and the rooms are nice, but the staff weren’t friendly or customer oriented, and I didn’t feel welcome. For me, the place doesn’t live up to its name or what I’d expect from a Mum home. A stay is about more than the room and location, and there are plenty of better places in Chiang Mai. I hope the staff take this feedback, and the earlier feedback, into consideration. Good luck.

The room was a good size and had nice furniture, a comfortable bed, flat-screen TV, fan, A/C, big fridge, two bottles of water, coffee and tea, and a nice hot shower. It was very clean, and the price wasn’t bad for the quality. The name My Mum Home made us think of our mom’s house, but to our surprise, it didn’t feel that way here. I’d stay again.
